Who we are

Floresta Bem Cuidada was founded in 2004 with the aim of providing services in the areas of preservation, restoration, protection, and sustainable management of forest heritage.

Headquartered in Guarda, the company has a team of 150 employees and operates at both national and international levels. With over 750,000 hectares managed, it is committed to sustainable practices that align with the needs of nature and the environment, respecting natural values and promoting the creation of long-term value for future generations.

Our journey

2004

Floresta Bem Cuidada was founded in Guarda, with its initial work focused on the development of forest projects, afforestation, and the improvement of forest stands, laying the foundation for its journey in the forestry sector.

2009 - 2013

During this period, the company strengthened its technical team, adopted sustainable forest restoration practices, and expanded its operations in collaboration with municipalities and major entities such as E-Redes and Redes Energéticas Nacionais (REN). It also initiated the ISO 9001 certification process, reinforcing its commitment to high quality standards and positioning itself for new national-level challenges.

2017 - 2022

Collaboration began with entities such as Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) on specialized interventions, particularly in the management of fuel breaks along railway and road networks. In parallel, the ISO 14001 certification process was initiated, strengthening the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental management.

2024

In 2024, Floresta Bem Cuidada marked 20 years of activity with a renewed focus on innovation, the digitalization of operational processes, and a strengthened commitment to carbon neutrality and biodiversity conservation. The company also began the ISO 45001 certification process, reinforcing its dedication to occupational health and safety.

Floresta Bem Cuidada looks to the future with ambition and responsibility, upholding its commitment to innovation, sustainable land management, and the appreciation of natural heritage. The ecological transition remains a priority, with a strong focus on carbon neutrality, process digitalization, and the implementation of nature-based solutions.

The path outlined for the coming years includes consolidating the company’s position as a reference in integrated landscape management. Strategic priorities include strengthening key partnerships, incorporating cutting-edge technology, and continuously developing team skills—fostering a more resilient forestry sector aligned with the challenges of the next decade.
